A special Open Mic Night to celebrate the life of musician and loved Acorn regular, Peter Nye.
Pete truly loved his musician friends and they, too have offered continuous support during these grieving hours. The Acorn has lovingly offered their theater as a memorial to Pete and Pete’s musician friends to come and say farewell to Peter Nye. Thursday, Oct 3rd , the band “For Pete’s Sake” will host the Peter Nye Memorial Open Mic for any musicians that would like to offer their songs in remembrance of Pete.
Pete has two sisters scattered about the country and a favorite niece. His sister Debby has been here from Colorado to help Pete through the transition and to finalize Pete’s affairs. Debby has been taken aback by the outpouring of love for Pete offered by our community. Join them in this remembrance.
The Acorn was one of Pete’s favorite stages and he loved to donate whenever he could, whatever he could. If you haven’t been to The Acorn yet please make a special effort to come and share your talents. Pete would love to share that with you!
